Marangone Group Pty Ltd asked GVP designs for two red feature walls in an upcoming set of units (unit 3). These walls have extensive light exposure allowing the beauty of venetian to show through. We decided on a dark red stucco lamundo gloss finish, burnishing on the third coat polishing it to a high shine. The feel is velvety smooth and you can see your face in the wall. The owner wanted a high gloss sheen, and to keep the room streamlined both the entryway and feature wall were polished.

When standing in the kitchen, you can see the beautiful wall shine in the sun, with the outside patio reflecting through. A small backsplash was also decided upon, to keep the wall and the kitchen tied together. GVP designs used its marmorino palladino as a base coat, which is excellent for wet areas, then polished it to a high shine with 3 coats of stucco lamundo over top. Wax was then applied for extra shine and durability in the wet areas.

The wall is a sheet of glass, with reflections from every angle you stand. The depth of colour with its highly mottled spatulatta finish is breathtaking, and you truly have to feel it to believe its silky smooth texture. High gloss finishes in lime and marble are not just good, they are simply wonderful!
